GSI Food launched its new website, both in English and Spanish, to promote and market one of its most important commodities: the mung bean. The commoditie is also known as Chinese bean and in English as mung bean. The mung bean exported by GSI Food, is a smooth legume of bright green color, with a size between 3 and 5 mm and harvested in Venezuela as a restorative crop for rice producers during the harvest season from December to February, with the Asian market being their main export destination, mainly Vietnam, where a total of 2500 tonnes are expected to be exported during 2018.
Like all products marketed by GSI Food, their quality is guaranteed by an arduous process, during which the promoter team works hand in hand with the producers, accompanying them from the bean harvest to its harvest, going through the cleaning and packing stage, where 99% of impurities are extracted; and ending with a technological selection that ensures a uniform green harvest.
