GSI Food Consolidates Diversity as a Key Competence in its Team of Partners

GSI Food consolidates the importance for them of diversity from all points of view for the achievement of their objectives, both with their internal and external allies and in the relationship they have with their competitors. In this sense, from their beginnings, they were conscious in designing a series of key competencies and values that allow them to attract, develop and generate commitment in the collaborators, which would mark the way in which GSI Food carries out business throughout the world.

Within these key competencies, diversity can be found, with the intention that GSI Food collaborators can work effectively and efficiently, with people of any race, religion, sexual or physical condition, to ensure the best comprehensive business solutions in the food market and that is demonstrated with indicators that can present the company to check it.

Among the indicators we can find, it can be noted that the gender-based proportional representation declared in GSI Food is made up of 52% women and 48% men. However, regardless of this result for the recruitment of their collaborators, the gender of their members does not prevail, since their experience, performance, and responsibility prevail in the position held by each of them.

In this regard, the proportion of women’s wages to men at the same levels is as follows: first, in strategic management, for every dollar earned by a man, women earn at least 98% of that dollar; Second, in area coordination for every dollar a man earns in this position, women outnumber them by 105%; and third, in area analyst rank, for every dollar a man earns, women earn 102%. It should be noted that in order to obtain these figures, pay bands with four or more members were taken into account. The indicator shows that there is no gender disadvantage.

On the other hand, multiculturalism is also present in GSI Food as there are strategic partners from at least 5 countries in the world, namely: Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, the United States, Canada and Honduras. It should be noted that this team includes different ages ranging from men and women under 30 to 50 years of life.

The key diversity competence that GSI Food partners should have at a personal level has led them and should continue to guide them in facilitating their actions to establish social relationships with people who are equal and different from them and who are friendly regardless of any differences that may exist; which provides equal opportunities for all and identifies the added value in interaction with all allies and potential allies.

It should be noted that the competencies presented as key for GSI Food were taken from the transversal needs defined in the construction of the success profiles and validated by their leaders and that is implemented in the human management processes.
