GSI Food continues to develop new solutions, this time it carried out its first multimodal operation for one of its allies in Venezuela.
This operation was multimodal since it required the use of several types of transportation. Danny Ramos, Operations Manager of GSI Food, told us about the process of this operation. “The loading of 2 containers was done Santos – Brazil and was transported by sea to Manaus – Brazil, upon arrival at this point was made a river transit to a part of Manaus and then land to Santa Elena de Uairen, about 7 days and then remained 4 days in the process of nationalization, to continue its final transfer by land to Acarigua in the facilities of our client. It is worth mentioning that this was also the first operation that GSI Food carried out through the Santa Elena de Uairen customs, which was successfully completed”.
The product for which this multimodal operation was carried out was pasta sauces. Stella d’Oro sauces are the new incorporation of one of its clients in Venezuela and are available in four types: traditional, fine herbs, pizza and tomato paste.
